Hail to Diddy

January 16, 2010

Ajib and Liya handle first-hand experience with friendly animals like Marina & Marie (cats) and Dibbo & Diddy (ducks) with ease. They even want to make the transition easier for Diddy, that is from walking to swimming.

Ajib and Liya quack with ducks and meow with the cats. They help to make the world a peaceful place for all.

Ben 10 Alien Force Big Chill

Ben 10 Alien Force Big Chill

I have never imagined to adopt a pet. With technologies, our children are playing with mechanical animals.

“Sis, your cat is thirsty,” cried Ajib when the cat started to meow loudly. It is so hilarious when Ajib and Liya took care of the cat as if it was a real furry stripy thing.

On the other hand, Ajib welcomed Big Chill into the family of Ben 10 and Ben 10 Alien Force. His collection has grown and the fights more adventurous.

Last night, Ajib was crying in Liya’s room. We rushed to see what was happening. Ajib had cut his leg and he kept yelling, “Oh, my leg..I need plastic.” According to the latest Ajib’s vocabulary bank, plastic was meant for plaster or band-aid. I forgot to refill the family’s First Aid Kit. At that moment, I blamed myself for my stupidity and ill-preparedness.

Daddy grabbed Big Chill and asked the hero to blow chill air onto Ajib’s cut. It didn’t work but if it did, Ajib would be thrilled. The crying eventually stopped when I found the last and only ‘plastic’ in the house. My ‘superhero’ Ajib was far from saving the world for a day…

The New Lovey Bunch

April 9, 2009

Kittens Liya and Ajib took the responsibility to take care of the kittens. I’ve yet to decide their genders ; that’s why the names keep changing everyday. They shelter inside Liya’s toy house. They’ve been rocked and listening to lullaby when sleeping – all with the help and care by Ajib

Death of Pet Animals

April 1, 2009

We woke this morning to bad news. Liya and Ajib were quite sad. Our 4 koi fish had died last night. Ajib tried to revive by shaking one of the orangy with black spots. Liya couldn’t believe that the fish had died because they were swimming happily yesterday from one corner to another in our little fish pond.

I wonder if this has left a mark in Ajib and Liya’s childhood? Seeing those sad gloomy eyes heading to school tore me inside in the slightest way.

My reasoning was the fish were sick and didn’t send them to the vet in time to help them. Frankly I wasn’t aware they were sick. Anyways, it might be easier to lure them into buying new fish this afternoon.
