Dearest all readers,

The Parenting By Accident Team has proudly organized a trip to a nearby chocolate factory during the 2008 year-end school holidays. It’s for children aged 4 and above. This is a fun way to learn about making chocolates (tour guide is available). Free admission to the factory; however, travelling expenses was borned by participants. For future trips, lets car pooling. Wear comfy clothings. Regret to inform that there’s no handicapped facility provided during the trip.

Trips for 2009 is still TBA

We learned chocolate making at Beryl’s Chocolate Factory in Seri Kembangan, Selangor. Even the soon to be 3 year old Ajib behaved well. Started off with a documentary of the company, its history and industrial processes, we then proceeded to tour the factory. Each group tour is given a tour guide. We asked lots of questions. We touched the cocoa mass and cocoa butter samples. We were allured by the smell of chocolates. Posters and fast facts helped us to understand the history of chocolates wordwide. Big names worldwide include Hershey’s, Toblerone, Cadbury, Lindt, Van Houten and Nestle. Ingredients to make chocolates –> cocoa mass, sugar, and milk. We ended our tour with chocolate shopping and group photo. Liya and Ajib touched the cocoa trees and saw the giant cocoa fruit.

A way to try in impossible, breathing underwater and swimming like a fish. You can do it! Plus the buddy system helps you to navigate underwater with ease. There’s another world awaits you underwater. Under the sea is even more captivating.

So, come and learn to breathe underwater – Discovery Scuba. Let’s have fun and take an underwater group photo. Previously when I did mine, Liya was swimming in the pool. Managed to tickle her feet and she gasped! It cost RM 135 each person.

    Y

  2. Azian Arif Says:

We went there recently; however, unable to experience the elephant ride. Due to rainy season, visitors cannot bathe the elephants (usually scheduled at 2:00pm). Daily quotas (120 visitors)for the ride and bathing session imposed by the Perhilitan.

I plan to organize a group trip to Kuala Gandah soon. You can also proposed the date. Then, we can visit the Deerland nearby (If I’m not mistaken RM10 per adult and RM3 per child). Deerland showcases baby phython, hedgehog, rabbits.

To add more excitement, we can stop by at my mom’s kebun (a quick stop to snack on dragon fruits and bananas) on the way to Kuala Gandah.
